Sarytogan Graphite Limited (ASX: SGA) is pleased to report copper grades from the Ilkin prospect at the Baynazar copper exploration project in Kazakhstan. Samples from a trench at Ilkin assayed high copper grades, indicating drill readiness. This prospect is supported by a circular aeromagnetic feature and historical drilling. The company aims to conduct KGK drilling to define anomalies in bedrock ahead of diamond drilling.

Baynazar project is in a mining-friendly jurisdiction known for copper porphyry mines. Previous exploration results at Ilkin revealed oxidised diorites mineralised with copper. Over 6,000 soil samples were collected and high-resolution surveys were conducted.

The next steps involve KGK drilling to cover the circular aeromagnetic anomaly, subject to funding.
